HydroWorx Inks Deals with Three New York Pro Teams
NY Mets, Jets and NJ Devils Outfit New Digs with HydroWorx Pools

Middletown, PA-Three new world-class facilities, for professional teams in the northeast will feature the latest in aquatic therapy with several HydroWorx pools.  Baseball’s NY Mets, the NFL Jets and the NHL’s NJ Devils have recently signed on to add HydroWorx aquatic therapy pools to their facilities.

Just beyond the outfield fence of Shea Stadium, Citi Field is under construction and will become the new home of the NY Mets in 2009.  Housed in the new stadium will be the HydroWorx 2000 featuring a floor that doubles as a variable speed treadmill that can rise to floor level for easy access by injured or even wheelchair-bound athletes.  The floor can then be lowered to any depth up to six feet and can function at any range of speed up to 8.5 mph.

Also key to the NY Mets training and conditioning are two Thermal and Polar Plunges to be installed that will assist in recovery and revitalization.  Temperatures at 50 degrees in the Polar Plunge help control joint inflammation and enhance muscle recovery.  Thermal heating units are engineered to relax tight muscles and stimulate the release of endorphins.  Each pool features strategic jets and powerful massage hoses to isolate trigger points on the athlete.  Also key to the HydroWorx pools is the underwater camera that allows trainers to observe movements and diagnose gait irregularities in real time.

Just across the NY state line, a 120000 sq.ft. training facility and team headquarters for the NY Jets is being constructed in Florham Park, NJ.  The campus will feature HydroWorx’s signature 2000 pool and two Thermal and Polar Plunges.

Basketball, hockey and soccer will be the sports line-up at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ this fall.  Here the NJ Devils, Seton Hall, and a new Major Indoor Soccer League franchise will battle it out with competitors in the state-of-the-art sports and entertainment venue.  At the heart of the training complex will be the HydroWorx 2000 and three Thermal and Polar Plunges.
