HydroWorx Flying High with Frölunda

Middletown, PA-The Frölunda professional ice hockey club of Gothenburg, Sweden has installed a HydroWorx 1000 Series underwater treadmill machine in their home arena, bringing the first HydroWorx aquatic therapy pool to Sweden.

The Frölunda Indians play in the top Swedish hockey league, or the “Premier League”, called Elitserien. The club is in its 64th year and is a perennial favorite in Scandinavia due to its continued success on the ice. They won the national championship most recently in 2003 and 2005.

The 1000 Series rehab pool was recently installed in Frölundaborg, the team’s headquarters. This HydroWorx machine will help keep Frölunda’s skaters healthy, fit, and on the ice with its underwater treadmill, resistance jets, and deep-tissue massage capabilities. With the swim spa’s underwater cameras and computer system, Frölunda players now have the ability to watch and adjust their underwater movements and gait patterns, ensuring proper form and safety.

The team’s home venue, the Scandinavium Arena is located in central Gothenburg. The complex seats over 12000 spectators, but acquiring tickets can be a challenge due to the team’s popularity. The red, green, and white will undoubtedly continue their winning ways with healthier, stronger, hydrotherapy-bolstered players in the lines.
